松山のウインドサーファーたちを見つけました。
Just watching them windsurfing in this freezing cold water made me shiver, but I always enjoy watching people who are enjoying themselves doing what they love doing.
見てるだけで寒かったけど、でもこうやって趣味を謳歌している人たちを見るのは嬉しい。
I heard that this area gets very busy during summer.
この辺りは夏は人で溢れて賑わっているそうです。

It's the season for Shime-nawa or Shime-kazari. It is a sacred Shinto straw rope with fern leaves, an orange and other items of good omen. It is generally hung on doors during the New Year holidays and served as a charm against evil spirits.

There are various types.
While I enjoy and appreciate many great qualities of Japanese culture, one of the things I do not like is their excess wrapping. Everything is wrapped in plastic, and it seems to create so much trash.
しめ飾りにも色々ありますね。
日本の文化を心から尊敬すると共に、中には「うーん・・・」と思う点もあります。例えば過剰な包装。全てがプラスチックで包まれていて、必要以上にゴミが増えるような。
