As soon as I arrived, there were a couple of concerts (one in Fort Collins and one in Boulder). Ty played with superb musicians, Jesse Manno and Abbos Kosimov. What a unique and fun collaboration that was!

着いてすぐに二つコンサートがありました。一つはフォートコリンという市で、そしてもう一つはボルダー市で。タイはジェッシー・マノとアボス・コシモブという素晴らしい音楽家たちとトリオで演奏しました。とてもユニークで画期的なコラボだったと思います。

音楽機材を積むのは大変よね。
タイはきっと積み木が上手だろう。

Abbos is a spectacular musician. He is from Uzbekistan. I've heart that he was a top doyra player in Uzbekistan and had everything he wanted. However, he did not settle down there; he had desire to learn more and to play with great musicians around the world, so he left his home country and came to the U.S. without letting his inability to speak English drag him down. (I can relate.)  It was honor to get to spend time with him and learn about who he is. Here, you can see him playing and recording in Ty's studio.

アボスさんはウズベキスタン出身のとてもとても素晴らしい音楽家です。彼はウズベキスタンではドーラ奏者として抜きん出ており、何不自由のない生活をしていたそうです。しかし、もっと音楽を学びたい、もっと世界中の人と演奏してみたいと思い、英語が話せないことをハンデとせず祖国を発ち、新たな境地を求め渡米してきたのです。彼と4日間過ごせて光栄でした。人の人生の流れを垣間見させてもらうことは、誠に光栄で元気をもらうことだと思います。こちらに彼がタイのスタジオでレコーディングしている様子が見られます。

After the concert, there was a bit of down time, so one of Ty's best friends, Timothy and his wife invited us over for a dinner. I had juicy watermelon, and it made me feel, "Ahhh, summer is here...."

コンサートが終わってから少しのダウンタイムがあったので、タイの親友のティモシーさんと彼の奥さんに夕飯に招待して頂きました。おいしいスイカも食べました。夏が来たんだなぁとしみじみ思いました。

After the watermelon, Ty and I both went back to our typical busy lives, but we still managed to take a half day off and did a short hike. I think it is important to put us in nature as much as we can.

すいかを食べ終わると、タイと私は相変わらずのいそがしい日々へ戻っていったわけですが、それでも半日休みを取り、二人で簡単な山登りもしてきました。やっぱり自然に囲んで頂く時間は大切ですね。

Can you see the tips of leaves are lighter green?
I thought that the gradation from darker green to lighter green was so beautiful.

濃い緑から薄い緑へのグラデーションがきれいだと思いました。
